New NYS Driver’s License/Passport

July 13, 2008

New York sure changes their Driver’s Licenses often – this time, NY makes a change for the better. Starting September 16th, these new licenses will double as passports too, making it so much easier to carry in your wallet than a passport. Costing $80 (or $30 more than a regular driver’s license), it is considerably less than a passport itself, which can make passports obsolete, at least in NY. We wonder how the individuals responsible for making fake IDs will copy this new template…they better get to work!

New Shake Shack

July 13, 2008

Randomly searching on Craigslist a week back, we came across a post looking for a staff for a new Shake Shack. It seems like Danny Meyer will be taking over more than Union Square with his new Upper West Side location on 77th and Columbus, which means you can expect to wait in line with museum-goers while waiting for your order. Look out for the new location later on this year – we’d guess it’ll be ready in time for the Fall. For now, enjoy their food in Madison Square Park (23rd and Broadway).
