Kurve, the sophomore restaurant from Andy Yang is set to open in the coming week. Kurve, with it’s eclectic menu (pan-Asian) will feature an outrageous design full of colors throughout the space. The operating hours are 4 P.M. – 4 A.M., perfect for after-club eating until Delicatessen extends their hours in two weeks. For more pictures of Kurve, click here.

Kurve is on 87 2nd Avenue (off 5th St.)

Update #1: Kurve is still not opened.  We passed and saw the windows being washed with a sign on the door which read something like: “Kurve on 7/22/08 will be closed, we are sorry for the inconvenience.”  Guess you’re going to have to wait a few more days for the opening.

Not really clear, but you can make see the sign on the door earlier.

Judge a T-Shirt by It’s Cover

July 21, 2008

Band T’s have been around and quite popular for just about as long as we can remember, but now so are what we like to call “noveltee’s.” UrbanOutfitters has some classic book covers on t-shirts, including: Catcher in the Rye, Catch 22, and Death of a Salesman (all books you probably read in high school). These shirts are $28 online and are a smart option compared to the post below.

It’s Not Cool To Wear…

July 21, 2008

ED HARDY!! – A brand has never annoyed us like Ed Hardy.  Let’s make this official, we focus on NYC and it is not acceptable club-wear here (we know; we’re out a lot!!) – to make matter’s worse for Ed Hardy, it is not acceptable in L.A. either; our friend/A.M. Lifestyle reader told us earlier last week two skulled-out “gentlemen” were rejected from Villa because of their attire.  You stick out (and not in a good way) when you wear Ed Hardy – if it is not acceptable in NY/L.A., maybe it is cool in Middle-America, and is that how you really want to dress?  Please leave some comments on your thoughts…
