MMMMM

We posted our favorite late night eats (which we’ll have to update and add Delicatessen to) a few weeks back and on it we told you about the only street-meat we’ll eat on 53rd & 6th aka Chicken & Rice (which just won best chicken & rice in Midtown); now we just came across an article to make you think twice about trying to cut the line…things might pop off. Shake Shack Moving Along

July 23, 2008

Set to open its doors October 1st, the Upper West Side Shake Shack is moving along as well as can be expected. The picture above [Eater] is from earlier today when workers hung the “Shake Shack Sign.” It doesn’t look too much like the original Shake Shack in Madison Square Park, but the food should be the same and it will do well, especially when all the B&T’s find out what Shake Shack is (if they didn’t know already) when Citi Field opens and has another location inside the stadium.

Country Club Opens Tonight

Country Club

Country Club

Country Club (old Dirty Disco space) will be opening its doors tonight. We snagged one of the first pictures of this place from Thrillist above – as well as their menus, which show their prices including: Grey Goose and Patron for $325 a bottle – which is a little less than most new venues charge. Andy Warhol photos (not paintings like Rose Bar) are hung on the walls of Country Club with various quotes from the avant-garde artist.

Country Club is on 248 W. 14th St. between 7th and 8th if you want to try to get in for the opening tonight – there are complimentary Bellini’s and cocktails from 9-11 P.M.
